           We charge a usage fee for using Horton Iris Garden for family portraits".

● Your Event:
          We  regularly host Car clubs, Mom’s groups, Garden clubs, Red Hat ladies, spinning clubs, or a group of friends.  Call Horton           Iris Garden at (916) 652-4351 to reserve a date and fee quote for a private event.  Picnic facilities and gardens are                                 scheduled on a first come, first serve, to private groups during the week and weekends (with appropriate time limit).

● Loomis Iris Tour:
          4th  annual iris festival at 2 locations in Loomis. April  28th & 29th-- FREE
          Maps are available at Horton Iris Garden and High Hand Nursery. Activities include visiting iris garden, and unique nursery,           children’s coloring contest. Spend the day  OR both days!!
          Lunch – can be purchased at High Hand Café or bring your own and picnic in the gardens.

● A Place to Display YOUR ART on weekends:  April – May for 2012
           The Barn Art Wall is available for artists to display and sell their own art. Contact us for weekends that are still available for the            40 foot wall in the barn (covered and shaded).
           Visitors to the iris garden can browse the “art wall gallery”.

● Plein Air 3-day event: April 27th, 28th, and 29th. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: .
           Painting in the gardens or by the pond. No competition this year.

● FREE Open Studio Art Tour: May 12th and 13th , Sat, Sun, 10 to 6 pm
           The studio doors will be open Mother’s Day weekend showcasing the work of 12 local  artists in Loomis Basin area.

●  U- PICK (fresh) Lavender and Daylilies in Bloom: June -By appointment only.
           Visit and pick fresh lavender bouquets for your favorite projects.  Choose from 75 different daylilies,
            many which rebloom again in the fall.

●  PUMPKIN PATCH  -October weekends -- 9 am to 5 pm
Pick your own pumpkins from the fields or a farm wagon.  We grow several different varieties of pumpkins – giant to small. The children enjoy our variety of  pet chickens, or baby goats, and running around on the farm. Call (916) 239-9432 to schedule your group

     Events that Horton Iris Garden will be attending:

● Loomis Eggplant Festival:   October 6, 2012, Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm
           Look for antique Model A or farm tractor and wagon full of farm products fresh from the farm, including iris            rhizomes and pumpkins. The Eggplant Festival is a street festival with vendors, entertainment, etc., in downtown Loomis.
